Some days I get bugged easier than other days…..but there are some things that always bug me.
When people call at work to ask for a phone number and just as you’re about to give it to them, they tell you to hang on while they go get a pen to write it down…….did you not know when you called that you were going to need a pen? You called me, I didn’t call you…..be prepared.
Parents negotiating with their young children. Parents borrow strollers from us to use while shopping and when they return them and their 2-year-old doesn’t want to get out. Instead of just removing their child they stand there trying to convince their child to get out of the stroller…..who is in charge here people, you or your child? Pick up your toddler and move along.
People who take up two parking spaces because they somehow think they or their vehicle is superior to you or your vehicle. Who do you think you are anyway?
Car signal lights. First, it bugs me when people don’t use their signals when they’re changing lanes or turning in front of you, or when they turn it on just as they are changing lanes, as if it is an afterthought. Second, it bugs me when people don’t turn their blinkers off and you have no idea what they are doing.
People who complain……all the time. I don’t feel good, I have a headache, I’m really tired today, I have too much work to do…..etc., etc., etc.
Trying to find a clear aisle in the grocery store. I don’t enjoy grocery shopping at the best of times, but it is really annoying when people just leave their carts in the middle of the aisle and you can’t get past them on either side, or when friends run into each other in the grocery store and think blocking the aisle with their carts while they have their “let’s catch up” conversation is a good idea.
Grocery store cashiers who don’t care how they handle the food you’re purchasing. Please don’t squish my bread when you scan it or fling my frozen pie shells across the scanner possibly breaking them.
At the drive thru window it bugs me when the cashiers give you back your change on top of your bills, the change falls to the ground and you can’t pick it up because you are too close to the building to open your car door.
Cyclists who drive on the sidewalks instead of the bike lanes and then ring their little bike bell at you because you are blocking the sidewalk trying to pull out into traffic. Or they drive on the streets but do not feel they have to obey the same traffic rules that car drivers have to…..like stopping for red lights.
People that do not know how to “merge”. A merge lane is not a yield, it is there for you to “merge” into traffic. Please understand what “merge” means.
People who chew their food with their mouth open and scrape food off their fork or spoon into their mouth with their teeth instead of their lips.
Tim Horton’s “Timbits” not getting your coffee right and then arguing with you that what they made is right and what you asked for is wrong. My husband gets the same coffee everyday…..3 sugar, 1 cream….he did not say 3 cream, 1 sugar, please do not argue…..you heard him wrong, just say sorry and re-make it.
Calling my children on the phone to ask a very important question and knowing they are watching TV and not paying attention to you by the number of times they say “what”, and finally telling them to turn off the TV and listen to you.
These are just a few of the things that bug me.
