2012 starts with high expectations for the U17 Cambridge United girls coached by proven head coach Kevin Johnson. The U17 Cambridge United girls have a long list of accomplishments from 2011, winning both the 2011 Robbie Tournament, 2011 Barrie Tournament and capped off by a Cambridge, Ontario first in youth soccer – a WOYSL Title. Winning the WOYSL Title, offered the team a promotion in the Ontario Youth Soccer League (OYSL) which is the highest level of youth soccer in Ontario.

Fortunately for the U17 Cambridge United girls they are led by a coach with a long list of credentials in Kevin Johnson. He is no stranger to soccer in Waterloo region with this being his fifth season coaching in the region. His teams have won five tournament championships, 2 Cup championships and his teams have finished in the top three of league play every season. He has had over 30 male and female youth players promoted to higher levels of youth soccer with 20 players being promoted to the OYSL, while also coaching the league leading goal scorer in three of four seasons.

We all look forward to seeing what Coach Johnson and The U17 Cambridge United girls can accomplish.
